My 12-Games a Year Challenge
Here are the games I made in this last year(2018) as part of my 12 games this year challenge. I was able to make 6 total, which is fine. I’ll take it, because 6 is better than 1 which is better than none.
I was also able to come up with several concepts for games that I was interested in creating but did not find the time to. Here are their working titles and brief descriptions of gameplay.
Radical Rambunctious Radioactive Raccoons
A 4-player beat em up in the classic style of arcade and SNES games like Double Dragon and TMNT: Turtles in Time. By the name, you should be able to guess that it also pays homage to TMNT, but features raccoons kung-fu fighting instead of our much beloved ninja turtles.
In rogue-like games, you usually play an adventurer stomping around a dungeon and collecting coins and items. If you die, you lose everything and start from square one. In Soviet Stranger, you play the dungeon instead of the adventurer and you try to stop him from clearing the dungeon.
Red Silicon is a stealth-hacking game where you must infiltrate evil corporations and use your hacking skills to gain access to their systems in order to steal from the rich and give to the poor. Set in a cyber-punk future version of San Francisco, the gap between the rich and poor has grown exponentially since the beginning of the century and the middle class disappeared entirely.
An experimental journey exploring the complexities of life and what causes depression.
The Curious Castle of the Count
A survival-horror game made with claymation-inspired graphics where the characters are all modeled with real clay.
Sausage party meets Katamari Damacy in this ridiculously adorable puzzle platformer.
